Sarah Lushaj is an artist based in New York City with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from Parsons School of Design. Drawing inspirations from the scenic landscapes of her upbringing, her work conveys a deep sensitivity and comfort found in one’s surroundings. Sarah’s observational illustrations are rooted in a daily sketchbook practice, noting the constant interplay between humans and the environment. She illustrates primarily in graphite, charcoal and gouache, often weaving in motifs of flowers and birds. While living in NYC, her material process also serves as a grounding practice. In her free time, you’ll find her feeding birds at the park.
